100 Small single rhizomes-2-3" starts.

Smaller than our normal rhizomes in both length and width. Hand sorted to assure these are of high quality. These are not the older, less vigorous pieces from the inner part of the harvested clumps, rather, outer more vigorous pieces. We suggest you use these in an area that is well prepared, free from weeds and where you are able to monitor them for weeds and water well through the growing season. Often we use these for replant material, but the quality is high enough to produce good outcomes for you.

Plant closely, maybe 4-6" apart, covering with 3-4" of soil. This will help produce an area that comes up quite thick with miscanthus. Use a preemergent, such as simozine after planting (or in early spring) to prevent weeds from germinating. Use 2-4 D through the growing season to prevent broadleaf weeds. These will take longer to reach full height than our larger rhizomes, but 1-3' of growth is typical with this size of rhizome. Could work well in pots too,
