Rubra Plena Peony, 3-5 eye

Rubra Plena Peony, 3-5 eye, 32" mature, early season bloomer.

Affectionately known as "Memorial Day Peony", this old timer was taken by wagons west and planted along the way on graves. This frilly double form peony is true red, full carnation like blooms, with fern leaf foliage.

Plant peonies in full sun, part shade in warmer climates acceptable. Hardy zones 3-8. Best in fertile, moist, well draining sites.
